What tools do I need to install ModBord panels?
You’ll need a drill, tape measure, and appropriate wall anchors or screws depending on your wall type. Everything else is provided with your panel(s).
Can I install ModBord on plasterboard or drywall?
Yes. For best strength, we recommend fixing into wall studs. If studs aren’t available, use heavy-duty wall anchors rated for your load requirements.
Can ModBord be mounted vertically or horizontally?
Yes. Panels can be installed in portrait or landscape orientation depending on your layout.
How much space should I leave between panels?
Panels are designed to sit flush side-by-side. If your would like your panels to be separated, this also works!
Can I install ModBord on brick or concrete walls?
Yes. Use masonry anchors or dynabolts suitable for your wall surface.

Can I paint or stain ModBord?
Yes. ModBord is supplied raw so you can paint, stain, oil, or clear coat to suit your space.
Should I seal ModBord before use?
Sealing is generally not required. However sealing is recommended for garages, workshops, or humid environments to improve moisture resistance and durability.
Can I cut ModBord to size?
Yes. ModBord can be trimmed using standard woodworking tools. Always measure carefully and sand edges after cutting.
What paint works best on ModBord?
Water-based acrylic paints or timber stains work well. Always apply a primer or sealer first for best results.

ModBord is manufactured from premium 15mm and 12mm hoop pine plywood for strength and durability.
What are the standard panel dimensions?
Standard panels measure 980mm × 560mm and can be tiled for greater coverage. Custom sizes are also available for commercial customers.
How much weight can ModBord hold?
Each panel supports over 20kg when installed correctly into suitable wall fixings.
Is ModBord compatible with standard pegboard accessories?
Some universal accessories may fit, but ModBord accessories are designed for optimal fit and strength.
Is ModBord suitable for outdoor use?
ModBord is designed for indoor use. Outdoor installations require full sealing and weather protection.
